Tonight on OutCast: Craig Hella Johnson (Conspirare) and Leah Graham & Garrett Higley (The Wright House Wellness Center)

Renowned as one of the most influential voices in choral conducting in the United States, Craig Hella Johnson brings a depth of knowledge, artistic sensitivity and imagination to his programs. Founder and Artistic Director of the Grammy Award-Nominated choral ensemble Conspirare, Johnson has assembled some of the finest singers in the country to create a world class, award-winning ensemble committed to creating dynamic choral art.

For the first time, Conspirare brings their exquisite sound to national television in “A Company of Voices: Conspirare in Concert,” a one-hour concert produced for PBS. The show is scheduled to air over 200 times, on over 130 PBS-affiliate stations, in 28 states. Filmed at the Long Center for the Performing Arts and produced by KLRU, “A Company of Voices” presents three of Austin’s cultural treasures to audiences across America.

Craig Hella Johnson shares another side to his musical personality in his first ever solo CD as singer/pianist/songwriter and arranger, Thorns on the Rose. Conspirare fans around the country who know Johnson’s extraordinary gifts as conductor and creator of innovative and moving programs will be delighted by this additional aspect of his artistry. One noted collaborator recently said of Johnson: “When he sings, everything in the room just stops and time stands still. His singing speaks directly to the heart.”

Next, we are joined in the studio by The Wright House Wellness Center's executive director Leah Graham and board member Garrett Higley. They are here to tell us more about CulinART, a fantasy of the healing arts.

ISES Austin (International Special Events Society) is delighted to partner with
The Wright House Wellness Center to produce this spectacular gala event.
ISES members will showcase their creativity, ingenuity and professional services to create a futuristic event experience featuring cocktails, silent, live and fine art auctions and culinary masterpieces beyond your imagination. Proceeds from CulinART will benefit The Wright House Wellness Center, giving care and compassion to Central Texans living with or at risk of chronic illness.
