Tonight on OutCast: actor/playwright Alex Garza, plus David Smith and Andy Wisner from the Hill Country Ride for AIDS.

Austin actor/playwright Alex Garza is back with us. He dares us to "taste the rainbow" in a couple of one-man shows running in this year's FronteraFest. We chat with Alex about the creative process, plus hear a live excerpt from his tale of life, love and politics from a decidedly queer perspective.

Alex Garza is onstage at the 2009 FronteraFest. He will be performing Rainbow Ballads this Tuesday, January 13th, and Coloring Outside the Lines the following week, Tuesday, January 20th. For more information, or for tickets, please visit http://www.fronterafest.org/

David Smith has been making a difference in Austin for years. In 1995, has was hired as the first executive director of Interfaith Care Alliance (now, The Care Communities) where he was involved in creating the Hill Country Ride for AIDS. In 2001, he became executive director for the Ride. The Hill Country Ride is an annual event which has raised over $3 million dollars for a group of the leading community non-profits that collectively support thousands of Central Texans living with HIV/AIDS. David is joined by Andy Wisner, a 7-year veteran rider, and a 6-year veteran of the Ride production team.

The 2009 Hill Country Ride for AIDS is April 25th. There is a kick-off party this Thursday, January 15th at 7pm at La Zona Rosa. For more information, please visit http://www.hillcountryride.org/
